Dr. Erlendur Haraldsson
"When planning for a year plant corn. When planning for a decade plant trees. When planning for life train and educate people." Chinese proverb
The ADS extends the tradition of recognizing the Druze community’s contributions with this year’s presentation in memory of the late Dr. Galeb H. Maher. Our community continues to echo Dr. Maher’s pride in where we come from, who we are, and who and what we aspire to. His devotion to cultural, social and religious affairs along with his scientific achievements continues to inspire us today.
Dr. Haraldsson is a professor of psychology at the University of Iceland. He is widely published in professional journals and has authored five books. He co-authored "New Clothes for Old Souls" with Guy Playfair, a book was published in 2006 by the Druze Heritage Foundation in London. Dr. Haraldson’s academic field research was in part done in Lebanon. HTUhttp://www3.hi.is/~erlendur/english/UTH
